Fun and functional green spaces promoting
physical activity for older adults.

Imagine a place filled with green walkways, flower gardens, exotic plants, bird feeders, waterfalls, lawns, and patios. As visitors enjoy the greenery, they stoop down to feed the wildlife, follow where the path leads, and take advantage of dozens of recreational opportunities. Older adults of all functional abilities can be physically active in this inviting setting that may look like a park, but is actually a health maintenance facility carefully designed to improve cardiovascular performance, increase muscle strength, and encourage balance and stretching activities.
